2025-2026 President's Message

主席致辞

Dear ICSPAH Members, Friends, and Colleague

It is my great honor and privilege to serve as the President of the International Chinese Society for Physical Activities and Health (ICSPAH). Since its founding in 2006, ICSPAH has grown into a vibrant academic and professional community that fosters international exchange, scholarly collaboration, and mutual support among Chinese scholars and professionals in the fields of physical activity, health, and sport sciences.

I invite you all to join us in celebrating a major milestone—ICSPAH’s 20th anniversary in 2026. This celebration will take place in Kansas City, and I look forward to seeing many of you there to commemorate our achievements and envision the future together. Please join me to celebrate our ICSPAH’s 20th anniversaries in 2026.

With the active engagement and invaluable contributions of all members, ICSPAH has achieved steady growth and remarkable success over the past two decades, becoming a thriving hub of innovation and excellence in the field of physical activities and health.

My journey with ICSPAH began in 2009 as a student representative, followed by service as Co-Chair of the Public Affairs Committee. Over the years, I have witnessed ICSPAH’s evolution into a globally recognized organization. Our society’s strength lies in its people, our senior scholars, emerging researchers, practitioners, and students; who come together across disciplines, countries, and institutions to support one another and advance our shared mission.

As President, I am committed to leading ICSPAH with a spirit of collaboration, innovation, and service. We will continue to elevate the impact of the ICSPAH journal and expand our outreach to recruit and retain a strong, diverse, and engaged membership. In alignment with ICSPAH’s mission, we will promote knowledge exchange through high-quality academic conferences, publications, training workshops, and digital platforms. We will also strive to strengthen ties with institutions and communities across Asia and North America to build a sustainable and inclusive global network.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our past Presidents and Executive Committee members for their visionary leadership and unwavering dedication. I am excited to work alongside our current EC team and all of you to further advance ICSPAH’s impact and legacy. Together, let us build a dynamic, inclusive, and forward-looking academic community. I look forward to connecting with you at our upcoming events—especially as we prepare to celebrate ICSPAH’s 20th anniversary in 2026.

Warm regards,

Xiangli Gu, Ph.D.
President, ICSPAH
Associate Professor, Department of Kinesiology
